4 to 4:45 p.m.: The Diamondstones – a local, funky, blues rock band with Guitar/Vocals by Ben Pop, Drums by Nick Pop, Guitar by Ashton Lutenegger, Bass by Jen G.

5 to 5:45 p.m.: Coop Jazz

6 to 6:45 p.m.: Amandla Chorus with Song Squad. The name Amandla comes from the Zulu word for “power.” Amandla celebrates the power of community, singing songs of justice, freedom, and peace—songs new and old, from around the world and written here in our own community. Song Squad is the children’s group that is an extension of Amandla. Based in Greenfield since 1988.

Throughout the Supper:  Facepainting, Shenandoah’s Alotta Hoopla Hoops, jugglers, balloon animals

Apple Jugglers!  Cart-wheeling appetizer passers?  Human-pyramid serving line?

Free Harvest Supper 2012 is just 1 month away!  We need lots of folks to help with serving, setup, clean up, etc… various shifts from 2pm-8pm on the day of the event (Sunday Aug 19th).   Please call Dino at 413-773-5029 x3 or email info@freeharvestsupper.org  if you can help out.   Thanks and see you at the meal!

 

Free Harvest Supper 2012: Save the Date Sunday August 19th June 15, 2012

We are in the midst of planning for the 8th annual Free Harvest Supper to happen 4:30-6:30pm on Sunday August 19th.    If you would like to help out, please email info@freeharvestsupper.org  There is plenty to do beforehand to organize it and lots of volunteers needed on the day-of to make the event go smoothly.  Thank you.

 

2011 Free Harvest Supper Raises $4000! October 12, 2011

Thanks to all our donors, participants, chefs, volunteers, and organizers, the Free Harvest Supper raised $4000 this year which will go to support the Greenfield Farmers Market Coupon Project and also provides matching funds to double SNAP benefits at the Market.

7th Annual Free Harvest Supper a SUCCESS!! August 22, 2011

Nature blessed us with a dinner-time weather window on Sunday, and the Free Harvest Supper was a great success.   Over 800 dinners were served, there was fabulous entertainment and a friendly crowd.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered, cooked, ate, bought raffle tickets, and made the Supper such a great community event.

2011 Entertainment Line-up Announced August 2, 2011

In the grand tradition of having a rotating cast of fun local(ish) music at the Free Harvest Supper, we are happy to announce the line-up for 2011:

4 to 4:45 p.m.: Shag: All the songs you forgot you knew or are possibly too embarrassed to admit you like, including songs by artist such as Carly Simon, The Bee Gees, Wham, Captain & Tenille, Elton John, and more!

5 to 5:45 p.m.: West County Jazz: An ensemble that plays classics from the modern jazz repertoire, with a little bossa nova.

6 to 6:45 p.m.: The Family Folk Chorale: An intergenerational chorus, was founded in 1999 with the belief that everyone can sing and that people of all ages singing together is powerful music
